They had this enforced in another mmo (aion) and i hated it. It was absolutely annoying. If I want to emote, I'll type it. It was worse because that game was PvEvP, so if you typed then you had to sit or else give your position away to the enemy, but even in pve-only areas and in dungeons and whatever it was incredibly annoying needing to deal with figuring out what's automated and what's not.
