Lack of power could be many things. 1.MAF sensor. 2.EGR solenoid. 3.ECT sensor. 4.Air/vacuum leaks. 5.CKP sensor. 6.Intake air flap control actuator. 7.ECU wiring/connections. Hence the need for a full diagnostic check (with the correct equipment) before just changing each and every item.
16-01-2012, 05:48 PM. I just noticed in the Haynes Manual, section 1B on routine diesel maintenance, they recommend various activities at intervals less than stated by Citroen. For example, draining water from the diesel fuel filter is every 12000 for the 1.6, every 5000 for the 1.8 and 1.9 and every 6000 for the 2.0.
The fuel filter fits into a moulded recess on the underside of the fuel tank on the offside. Get the correct sized socket for the oil filter cover. If its already cracked get a replacement before you remove it.
Got to change the Fuel Pressure Senser on my 1,6 Hdi Cit C5 one of those days. Has anybody here any experience of doing this job Read the Haynes manual & am aware that the sensor is on the end of the common rail. Have I got to remove much stuff to get to the existing senser

I did a fuel filter change 1.6 HDi and bled it up after with the priming bulb, after two seconds cranking it fired and ran for five seconds then cut out. A restart on the key and instant fire up . yippee I thought. Went for an eight mile drive and returned home with no issues, running beautifully. Manually check the fuel pressure and replace the fuel pressure regulator or vacuum hoses if the pressure is too high. Replace the fuel pressure sensor even if you got an accepted test.
